Purchasing Agent / General Administrator:
Title: Purchasing Agent / General Administrator
Classification: Full-time, with benefits
Department: Office
Reports to: Bookkeeper/financial controller, CEO, and shop manager.
Location: 25 Heritage Road, Markham ON.
Pay: Weekly pay period, hourly wage (non-salary), with rate to be discussed – based off experience level.
Training: On-the-job.
Start Date: ASAP.
Duties:
We are looking for an enthusiastic member to join our administrative team to assist with various office responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Parts and materials quotes and ordering
- Recordkeeping & filing
- Creating excel or Word Documents
- Create reports for managers to make effective business decisions
- Answering phone calls
- Sending emails
- Work alongside accounting department, management, and the Quality Assurance team.
- Other general office duties as needed (within the traditional scope of practice of an Administrative Assistant / Purchasing Agent).
- Working collaboratively alongside 2-3 other administrative staff members.
Preferred Skills:

- Proficiency in Excel (Advanced knowledge with commonly used functions and formulas is an asset).
- Experience in creating Microsoft Word documents to generate reports, policies, and order requests for both the internal management team and customers.
- Experience with traditional administrative tasks including e-mails, scanning, printing, answering phone calls, ordering parts and materials, filing, recordkeeping, keeping a clean workspace.
- Previous experience in a similar industry is an asset, but not a requirement!
- Willingness to learn is a must!
